Event: Welcome to Treasure Island!

Land ahoy! Long believed lost, Treasure Island has emerged from under the ocean waves once more! Head out on a great adventure full of treasures and challenges, and scoop up some amazing rewards!

• Starts: 1st October 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 7th October 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

The event is available to characters of level 70+ on all servers.

Find Mysterious Treasure Tickets

During the event, you have a chance to find a valuable Treasure Ticket in the following chests:

• Silver Treasure Chest, Silver Treasure Chest+
• Gold Treasure Chest, Gold Treasure Chest+
• Platinum Treasure Chest
• Kelpie Chest
• Perfect Talisman, Necklace, Earring and Bracelet Chests
• Nam Gwang, Yilad, Dong Gwang and Seo Gwang Treasure Chests
• Damnation Chest, Damnation Chest+

Collect Precious Doubloons

Once you have your hands on a Treasure Ticket, it’s time to head for Treasure Island! Use the ticket to reach the island where the Treasure Goblin is waiting for you. Talk to him and spend some Yang to give him the following buffs:

• Increase his HP by 20%
• Increase his defence by 50
• Increase his movement speed by 100
• Grant him immunity to poison

After buffing the goblin, escort him on his quest to recover the treasure chests. You have a limit of 30 minutes to complete this mission.

• On the way you can find up to three treasure chests, but only one of them will be the real treasure!
• It’s your job to protect the goblin from the monsters who will attack him during this time. You’ll be rewarded with 1 Doubloon for every monster you defeat.
• If either you or the Treasure Goblin dies on the way, the mission fails.
• As soon as the goblin has discovered the real treasure chest, the mission is completed and you receive 100 Doubloons.
• Please note that you can only carry a maximum of 999 Doubloons.

Goblin Keys

In order to exchange your hard earned Doubloons for cool rewards, you’ll need Goblin Keys. These can be obtained in two different ways:

• Escorting the Treasure Goblin to the correct chest 5 times.
• Exchanging rewards.

Rewards for Doubloons & Goblin Keys

Open the event rewards menu via the event banner.

• Spend 90 Doubloons to fill the playing field with rewards.
• You’ll need a Goblin Key per reward.
• The first reward is always free and doesn’t need a key!
• Rewards are divided into different levels. The more rewards you collect, the higher your counter will read. After collecting 9 rewards in succession, your counter will increase by 1 point.
• New reward levels are unlocked once your counter reaches 3, 5 and 10 respectively.

The Mission Portal

There’s a pop-up webpage in the game for the missions. Open it to get an overview of your progress, including all the details on your missions and rewards.

Notes on Missions

Complete missions to earn rewards! Your progress will be updated every few hours, which may take a few moments to appear. Sometimes missions you have already completed will still be marked as open while the server updates your progress. Repeatable missions will only be reset once you have collected the reward, so remember to pick them up regularly.

• Daily missions are reset each day at 11:59 PM CEST.
• Weekly missions are reset each Sunday at 11:59 PM CEST.
• Monthly missions are reset on the last day of the month at 11:59 PM CEST. As these missions are repeatable, you can keep getting rewards from them!
• The unique missions can only be completed once.
• Some missions are only available once you reach a certain level or champion level.
• Once you unlock a reward, click on it to collect it. The reward will be sent to the mailbox of your currently active character.

Missions in the Otherworld

There are six different missions available for your Journey to the Otherworld, some are daily, some once per event, and some unique. There are plenty of rewards waiting for you, like the Damnation Key+, Cor Draconis (Antique) and much more!

Event: Journey to the Otherworld

Descend into the Otherworld and brave four devilish trials: face off against the four emissaries of the Otherworld and earn your right to take part in the ultimate confrontation against the Lord of Damnation.

Along your journey to the Otherworld you can earn precious materials for crafting the Damnation Shield or the Phoenix of Redemption. The event takes part in two phases:

First Phase

• Starts: 1st October 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 5th October 2025 at 11 PM (CEST)

In the first phase of the event, the boundaries to the Otherworld are weakening, and you can play for items which you will require in the second phase by defeating monsters and gathering Death Flames. These can be exchanged for Asmodeus Keys, Black Letters, Water of Life and Dead Souls. At the end of this phase, the Otherworld Portal becomes available and you can journey through to the other side.

Second Phase

• Starts: 6th October 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 7th October 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

In the second phase, you must battle through the Otherworld. Here you will need to call upon the items which you gathered in the first phase. Confront the four emissaries for the right to face Asmodeus. Of course, you’ll have a chance to get some great rewards from these preliminary fights too. If you are successful and manage to defeat the mighty Asmodeus, you can enter the divine room of Salvation, where even more rewards await you.

Enter the Dungeon

• The Otherworld is a hellish place which you must cross before facing Asmodeus, King of the Otherworld. You can reach the Otherworld by travelling through the portal at Cape Dragon Fire. You’ll need 3 Black Letters before you can pass through the portal. The Otherworld consists of four rooms. Each room has an emissary who you must face in battle.
• Damnation is the place of judgement – here you will face your final opponent, Asmodeus. Use Dead Souls to weaken Asmodeus. If you want a significant advantage in combat against him, wear the Damnation set. The Otherworld Talisman also provides succour against Asmodeus’ dark arts. As ruler of the Otherworld, Asmodeus cannot ever truly be defeated there; indeed, he will return from the dead soon after you have defeated him, allowing you to face him again. The more often you manage to defeat him, the greater your reward.

Event Items

• The Black Letter allows you to enter the Otherworld. Obtained using 1 Death Flame (80% chance).
• Use Water of Life to revive yourself in the Otherworld. Obtained using 5 Death Flames (80% chance).
• Use Dead Souls to reduce Asmodeus’ maximum HP. Obtained using 10 Death Flames (80% chance).
• The Asmodeus Key allows you to enter Damnation and face Asmodeus directly, skipping the four trials without having to defeat their emissaries.

The Okey Game is always a popular event in Metin2. Join in now and get your hands on okey chests containing valuable rewards!

Duration:

• Starts: 8th September 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Drops end: 30th September 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)
• Event ends: 1st October 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

How It Works Defeat monsters to receive cards. Once you’ve collected and stacked 24 okey cards, you automatically receive an Okey Card Set and can start playing. Before you start a game, make sure you have a set and also 30,000 Yang.

The aim of the game is to create a combination of sets and runs:

• A set consists of cards of the same value (e.g. 7, 7, 7). The lower the cards’ values, the fewer points you receive for it.
• A run consists of at least three cards with consecutive numbers (e.g. 6, 7, 8). The lower the cards’ values, the fewer points you receive for it. Runs of the same colour earn you more points than runs of several colours.

Due to technical adjustments during todays maintenance, several events have had their end times modified from the original schedule.

Please check your in-game Event Menu for the updated timing information on all current events to ensure you don't miss out on any rewards.

- Champion pets now display their correct size after evolution.
- Others player titles can now be toggled on or off.
- Pet transport box pricing is now properly displayed during shop preparation phase.

- In-game event timers now display the correct remaining time for all active events.
- Fixed champion pet evolution from level 105 to Champion Level 1 not triggering automatically when pets have maximum item experience and gain the final experience points through monster kills.

The Mission Portal

There’s a pop-up webpage in the game for the missions. Open it to get an overview of your progress, including all the details on your missions and rewards.

Notes on Missions

Complete missions to earn rewards! Your progress will be updated every few hours, which may take a few moments to appear. Sometimes missions you have already completed will still be marked as open while the server updates your progress. Repeatable missions will only be reset once you have collected the reward, so remember to pick them up regularly.

• Daily missions are reset each day at 11:59 PM CEST.
• Weekly missions are reset each Sunday at 11:59 PM CEST.
• Monthly missions are reset on the last day of the month at 11:59 PM CEST. As these missions are repeatable, you can keep getting rewards from them!
• The unique missions can only be completed once.
• Some missions are only available once you reach a certain level or champion level.
• Once you unlock a reward, click on it to collect it. The reward will be sent to the mailbox of your currently active character.

Missions in the Otherworld

There are six different missions available for your Journey to the Otherworld, some are daily, some once per event, and some unique. There are plenty of rewards waiting for you, like the Damnation Key+, Cor Draconis (Antique) and much more!

Event: Journey to the Otherworld

Descend into the Otherworld and brave four devilish trials: face off against the four emissaries of the Otherworld and earn your right to take part in the ultimate confrontation against the Lord of Damnation.

Along your journey to the Otherworld you can earn precious materials for crafting the Damnation Shield or the Phoenix of Redemption. The event takes part in two phases:

First Phase

• Starts: 25th July 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 29th July 2025 at 11:00 PM (CEST)

In the first phase of the event, the boundaries to the Otherworld are weakening, and you can play for items which you will require in the second phase by defeating monsters and gathering Death Flames. These can be exchanged for Asmodeus Keys, Black Letters, Water of Life and Dead Souls. At the end of this phase, the Otherworld Portal becomes available and you can journey through to the other side.

Second Phase

• Starts: 30th July 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 31st July 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

In the second phase, you must battle through the Otherworld. Here you will need to call upon the items which you gathered in the first phase. Confront the four emissaries for the right to face Asmodeus. Of course, you’ll have a chance to get some great rewards from these preliminary fights too. If you are successful and manage to defeat the mighty Asmodeus, you can enter the divine room of Salvation, where even more rewards await you.

Enter the Dungeon

• The Otherworld is a hellish place which you must cross before facing Asmodeus, King of the Otherworld. You can reach the Otherworld by travelling through the portal at Cape Dragon Fire. You’ll need 3 Black Letters before you can pass through the portal. The Otherworld consists of four rooms. Each room has an emissary who you must face in battle.
• Damnation is the place of judgement – here you will face your final opponent, Asmodeus. Use Dead Souls to weaken Asmodeus. If you want a significant advantage in combat against him, wear the Damnation set. The Otherworld Talisman also provides succour against Asmodeus’ dark arts. As ruler of the Otherworld, Asmodeus cannot ever truly be defeated there; indeed, he will return from the dead soon after you have defeated him, allowing you to face him again. The more often you manage to defeat him, the greater your reward.

Event Items

• The Black Letter allows you to enter the Otherworld. Obtained using 1 Death Flame (80% chance).
• Use Water of Life to revive yourself in the Otherworld. Obtained using 5 Death Flames (80% chance).
• Use Dead Souls to reduce Asmodeus’ maximum HP. Obtained using 10 Death Flames (80% chance).
• The Asmodeus Key allows you to enter Damnation and face Asmodeus directly, skipping the four trials without having to defeat their emissaries.

NEW FEATURES

New Champion Pet Evolutions

• New 4th and 5th evolutions for pet champion levels have been added.
• Pet champion EXP can only be accumulated on Yohara.
• A pet at level 105 and with heroic evolution can now evolve to the new 4th level.
• The 4th stage of evolution covers pet champion levels 1 to 14, after which it can progress to the 5th stage of evolution, covering pet champion levels 15 to 30.
• Various materials and new pet books are required for the new evolution stages.
• Pets at the 4th and 5th stages of evolution have new bonuses: Sung Ma’s Will (RES), Precision, Block Penetration.
• Pets evolving through champion levels can absorb potential from a pet egg to improve their own skills and unlock new potential skills:
• There are two slots for potential skills—one at the 4th and another at the 5th stage of evolution.
• You can register a pet egg in the pet interface to obtain a potential skill from it.
• If you remove the egg, the skill and the egg will be lost.
• A new item that awards pet EXP has been added. The Deliciously Tasty Treat can be looted from monsters in Yohara or obtained via merc missions.

Title

• You can click on your character portrait in the character menu to open the title menu.
• Titles for the Combat Zone and Battle Royale have been moved to this menu.
• You can now select which titles you’d like to use and display. Only one title can be active at a time.
• More titles will be added in the future.

New Report Function

• Players can report suspicious players and bots.
• Reasons for reporting include: Botting & Cheating, Bot Shop, Gold Selling.
• Only characters who have completed the biologist quest (level 30) can use the new report function. You can report suspicious activity by pressing the Report button in the whisper chat or a character’s target bar.

Note In the character creation menu, you can discover elements for a new character space feature that we are currently working on and that will be available at a later date.

BUG FIXES

Graphics

• Target indicator now closes when the targeted character is dead.
• The enemy target display no longer flickers when mounting and dismounting (mounts).
• Merc Licences have been removed as potential loot from the NPC Finder for areas where they cannot be looted.
• The Hero’s Medal tooltip now displays a costume bonus.
• Monsters’ second forms were sometimes not visible; this has been corrected.
• The Hide Decorations setting is no longer reset when mounting and dismounting (mounts).
• The horse icon no longer leaves a blank space in the buff list after dismounting.

Auto-Hunting

• Auto-Hunting no longer uses skills immediately upon revival.

Other Bug Fixes:

• Repeatable daily Yohara quests now start correctly on New Year’s Day.
• A missing system message has been added when you catch a fish.
• Players are no longer kicked out of the game if they want to switch pages in a locked storeroom.
• The Salvation Metin can no longer be spawned inside Balathor’s Crypt.
• Getting divorced no longer kicks players out of the game.
• The Strong against Zodiac Monsters bonus now works correctly on the corresponding monster type.
• It’s no longer possible to mine ore while transformed or riding.
• An error message when unequipping items in battle has been added.
• The position of horse mission targets have been adjusted so they don’t overlap with portals.
• The Sung Ma Invasion schedule was sometimes mixed up following maintenance; this has been fixed.
• If the client and server versions don’t match, players will now be logged out and receive a system message.

Dear Metin2 fans, an animalistic update is coming your way! The new Update 25.1 — Powerful Champion Pets will be available simultaneously on all servers from 1st July 2025. This update adds champion levels for your pets, new skills and all-round smoother gameplay—get ready!

New Maximum Level for Pets

Pets could previously only progress to level 105 while your characters could reach champion level 30. This is now changing!

• 4th stage of evolution: boosts a pet straight from level 105 to champion level 1. The pet can then continue progressing up to champion level 14.
• 5th stage of evolution: allows continued progress up to champion level 30.

Up to the 3rd stage of evolution (105), pets can only accumulate EXP on the old continents. The process continues as follows from the 4th and 5th stages of evolution:

• Pets can gather EXP exclusively on the Yohara continent.
• Pets can obtain bonuses for Sung Ma’s Will (RES), precision or block penetration.
• You can unlock access to the new ‘potential skills’ feature.

Please note that the corresponding evolution can only be unlocked when the character level exceeds the required thresholds (4th: c. lvl. 2+, 5th: c. lvl. 16+).

The pet’s existing stats (HP, defence, SP) won’t exceed their values at level 105 and will also remain the same after evolving. The new bonuses will increase alongside the pet’s level, however, starting at champion level 1.

Powerful Potential Skills

Slots for new potential skills are unlocked at the 4th and 5th stages of evolution—one at the 4th and another at the 5th stage.

These new slots let you add a pet egg to your evolved pet, and obtain one of the potential skills from the pet egg as a skill for your pet!

Please note the following restrictions:

• If your evolved pet already has the Berserker skill, it can also have this skill again as a potential skill.
• If your pet egg in slot 1 has given your active pet Berserker as a potential skill, you can’t also have this skill again in slot 2.
• The skill effects last as long as the registered pet egg, and then disappear along with it.
• All potential skills are boosted by default.

New Title System

Update 25.1 introduces the title system. You can start earning powerful titles for special achievements or for participating in unique events right away, showing everyone what you’re made of!

The titles will be displayed above your character name or guild name (if you’re in a guild), and can either be text-based or contain a suitable visual representation. You can access and manage your titles by clicking on your profile picture on your character’s info page.

Note Please be aware that when the update is released, some existing titles will be carried over to the new system and removed from existing characters (Combat Zone and Battle Royale top 3). New titles will then be awarded via the new system—via future competitions and achievements.

New Reporting System

To make it a little easier to report suspicious players, a new Report button is being introduced. You can access it via a button in a character’s target bar or in the whisper chat.

Clicking on it brings up the following reporting categories:

• Gold Selling: Use this if you notice excessive spam (gold selling, Yang) in a character’s chat.
• Botting & Cheating: Select this option if you see a character cheating or using bots in Metin2.
• Bot Shop: Use this for reporting bot shops in Metin2.

Please note You can only use this function if you’ve completed the biologist quest (level 30). You cannot enter any text and the report is sent directly to our system. A separate support ticket isn’t required as our team will see the report in our system straight away, with enough additional information about the reported player to respond quickly.

Note: Misusing this system—such as making repeated, unfounded reports against other players—will result in any reports you make in the future being disregarded or, in severe cases of misuse, sanctions against your account.

Event: Duel of the Seers

Do you have the gift of second sight? Only those with the mastery to predict their opponents’ moves will walk victorious from the Duel of the Seers!

• Event starts: 26th June, midnight (CEST)
• Event ends: 24th July, 11:59 PM (CEST)

How to Play

You need a Tarot Set to take part in the duel. This consists of 18 Tarot Cards which can be obtained from monsters throughout the world. You can complete the quest up to 5x per day.

Open the minigame by clicking ‘Duel of the Seers’ in the event banner. Each game you play requires a Tarot Set.

If you don’t feel like hunting down monsters, or if you’re missing a few cards, you’ll also find three Seer Chests full of Tarot Cards in the item shop.

Rules

You get 9 cards numbered 0 through 8. Each number appears exactly once. Cards with even numbers are black, while odd-numbered cards are white. Your opponent has exactly the same cards.

Each round you select a card to compete against your opponent’s. You do not know which card your opponent has chosen. You can only see the card’s colour, and you will learn whether your card was higher, lower or the same value. Based on this information, you have to try to predict what your opponent will do next.

The aim is to outbid your opponent as often as possible. Each of these victories earns you one point. The minigame ends once all cards have been played. You receive Seer Coins equal to your score. If you win, you’ll receive additional coins equal to the difference between your scores.

Rewards and Rankings

You can exchange your Seer Coins for great prizes via the event banner. Instead of collecting a rewards chest, you can also choose to use the Seer Coins to increase your rank. Simply click on the rankings in the event banner and improve your rank by donating Seer Coins. For each donation you’ll need 15 Seer Coins. The more donations you make, the higher your rank. At the end of the event all players in the top 20 can earn shop coupons in reward:

• 1st Place: 1,000 DR
• 2nd/3rd Place: 500 DR
• 4th-10th Place: 100 DR
• 11th-20th Place: 50 DR

Between 17th June and 25th June, you can look forward to thrice the event action: scoop up some epic loot during Metin Fever, go on a Treasure Hunt and travel to face the challenges of the Otherworld, with fabulous rewards in store! Event: Welcome to Treasure Island!

Land ahoy! Long believed lost, Treasure Island has emerged from under the ocean waves once more! Head out on a great adventure full of treasures and challenges, and scoop up some amazing rewards!

• Starts: 17th June 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 23rd June 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

The event is available to characters of level 70+ on all servers.

Find Mysterious Treasure Tickets

During the event, you have a chance to find a valuable Treasure Ticket in the following chests:

• Silver Treasure Chest, Silver Treasure Chest+
• Gold Treasure Chest, Gold Treasure Chest+
• Platinum Treasure Chest
• Kelpie Chest
• Perfect Talisman, Necklace, Earring and Bracelet Chests
• Nam Gwang, Yilad, Dong Gwang and Seo Gwang Treasure Chests
• Damnation Chest, Damnation Chest+

Collect Precious Doubloons

Once you have your hands on a Treasure Ticket, it’s time to head for Treasure Island! Use the ticket to reach the island where the Treasure Goblin is waiting for you. Talk to him and spend some Yang to give him the following buffs:

• Increase his HP by 20%
• Increase his defence by 50
• Increase his movement speed by 100
• Grant him immunity to poison

After buffing the goblin, escort him on his quest to recover the treasure chests. You have a limit of 30 minutes to complete this mission.

• On the way you can find up to three treasure chests, but only one of them will be the real treasure!
• It’s your job to protect the goblin from the monsters who will attack him during this time. You’ll be rewarded with 1 Doubloon for every monster you defeat.
• If either you or the Treasure Goblin dies on the way, the mission fails.
• As soon as the goblin has discovered the real treasure chest, the mission is completed and you receive 100 Doubloons.
• Please note that you can only carry a maximum of 999 Doubloons.

Goblin Keys

In order to exchange your hard earned Doubloons for cool rewards, you’ll need Goblin Keys. These can be obtained in two different ways:

• Escorting the Treasure Goblin to the correct chest 5 times.
• Exchanging rewards.

Rewards for Doubloons & Goblin Keys

Open the event rewards menu via the event banner.

• Spend 90 Doubloons to fill the playing field with rewards.
• You’ll need a Goblin Key per reward.
• The first reward is always free and doesn’t need a key!
• Rewards are divided into different levels. The more rewards you collect, the higher your counter will read. After collecting 9 rewards in succession, your counter will increase by 1 point.
• New reward levels are unlocked once your counter reaches 3, 5 and 10 respectively.

Event: Metin Fever

Caution: Metin Fever is on the rise! Destroy the Metin stones and face off against menacing bosses – Beran-Setaou, Jotun Thrym, Mysterious Monk and many other enemies are carriers of hefty loot!

• Starts: 24th June 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 25th June 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

Destroy 5 Metin stones in your level range (from level 30) and receive 1 Challenge Scroll daily. With this scroll you can summon a special Metin stone which you must destroy to face an especially difficult opponent. Tip: Luck is on your side on the continent of Yohara – the probability of even more dangerous bosses appearing is much higher in Yohara.

‘Catch the King’ is back! The exciting card game will test your little grey cells, offering rewards for your skill in the form of valuable Bronze, Silver and Golden King’s Loot. Hunt down monsters to collect King Cards, or pick up the Card Packs in the item shop – get started straight away!

• Starts: 19th May 2025 at midnight (CEST)
• King Card drops end: 16th June 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)
• Event ends: 17th June 2025 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

Starting the Game

Hunt down monsters to collect King Cards. Together, 25 King Cards make up a King Deck, with which you can play a game of Catch the King. The Card Packs in the item shop also contain lots of King Cards.

Aim of the Game

Reveal as many cards as possible and collect points. Catch the king in one go on the very last move to pick up 100 points at once. If you earn at least 10 points, you can redeem a prize at the end of the game.

You can wager up to 5 King Decks each time you play, earning the same number of chests in reward. Please note: The number of cards you play with is fixed; it is not influenced by the number of decks you wager. Once the game has started, you cannot reclaim the King Decks you have wagered.

How to Play

• You always start with the lowest card. An arrow indicates which card can be selected.
• By clicking on the card it will appear in the ‘My Card’ slot. In subsequent turns, cards of the same value will be moved automatically.
• Turn over any face-down card on the game board and compare it to your own.
• If your card is greater, you will receive points equal to the value of the revealed card and you can turn over another card on the board.
• If the cards are the same value, you receive the points and your turn is over. Play continues with a new card from your deck.
• If your card’s value is lower, you don’t receive any points. Your turn is over and play continues with a new card.
• If your card is a 5 and there is a face-down 5 neighbouring the card you reveal, your card will be captured. Your turn is over and you don’t receive any points.
• If your card is the king (K) and you catch the king on the board in exactly one move, you receive 100 points. The game ends after this move.
• Bingo! If you reveal all cards in a row, you receive 10 extra points.
• If you’ve earned at least 10 points, you can collect your prize by clicking on ‘Your Reward’.

• Cards with the value 2 capture: 1, 2
• Cards with the value 3 capture: 1, 2, 3
• Cards with the value 4 capture: 1, 2, 3, 4

• Revealing all cards in a row: +10 points

Please Note

• More King Decks may be found among the King’s Loot. Make sure to open the prize before the end of the event, as all King Cards and Decks will then disappear and you’ll come away empty-handed.
• If you log out or leave the map while playing Catch the King, you’ll forfeit your reward.
