Between 24th November and 30th November, you can look forward to twice the event action: go on a Treasure Hunt and travel to face the challenges of the Otherworld, with fabulous rewards in store! Continue reading to learn all you need to know about the two events:

Event: Welcome to Treasure Island!

Land ahoy! Long believed lost, Treasure Island has emerged from under the ocean waves once more! Head out on a great adventure full of treasures and challenges, and scoop up some amazing rewards!

• Event starts: 24th November 2025 at midnight (CET)
• Event ends: 30th November 2025 at 11:59 PM (CET)

The event is available to characters of level 70+ on all servers.

Find Mysterious Treasure Tickets

During the event, you have a chance to find a valuable Treasure Ticket in the following chests:

• Silver Treasure Chest, Silver Treasure Chest+
• Gold Treasure Chest, Gold Treasure Chest+
• Platinum Treasure Chest
• Kelpie Chest
• Perfect Talisman, Necklace, Earring and Bracelet Chests
• Nam Gwang, Yilad, Dong Gwang and Seo Gwang Treasure Chests
• Damnation Chest, Damnation Chest+

Collect Precious Doubloons

Once you have your hands on a Treasure Ticket, it’s time to head for Treasure Island! Use the ticket to reach the island where the Treasure Goblin is waiting for you. Talk to him and spend some Yang to give him the following buffs:

• Increase his HP by 20%
• Increase his defence by 50
• Increase his movement speed by 100
• Grant him immunity to poison

After buffing the goblin, escort him on his quest to recover the treasure chests. You have a limit of 30 minutes to complete this mission.

• On the way you can find up to three treasure chests, but only one of them will be the real treasure!
• It’s your job to protect the goblin from the monsters who will attack him during this time. You’ll be rewarded with 1 Doubloon for every monster you defeat.
• If either you or the Treasure Goblin dies on the way, the mission fails.
• As soon as the goblin has discovered the real treasure chest, the mission is completed and you receive 100 Doubloons.
• Please note that you can only carry a maximum of 999 Doubloons.

Goblin Keys

In order to exchange your hard earned Doubloons for cool rewards, you’ll need Goblin Keys. These can be obtained in two different ways:

• Escorting the Treasure Goblin to the correct chest 5 times.
• Exchanging rewards.

Rewards for Doubloons & Goblin Keys

Open the event rewards menu via the event banner.

• Spend 90 Doubloons to fill the playing field with rewards.
• You’ll need a Goblin Key per reward.
• The first reward is always free and doesn’t need a key!
• Rewards are divided into different levels. The more rewards you collect, the higher your counter will read. After collecting 9 rewards in succession, your counter will increase by 1 point.
• New reward levels are unlocked once your counter reaches 3, 5 and 10 respectively.

Basic Rewards

• Goblin Keys
• Cor Daemonis (Rough), Cor Draconis (Normal), Cor Draconis (Noble)
• Teleportation Ring, Time Spiral (20%), Tasty Treat+
• Dragon God Attack, Dragon God Defence, Dragon God Life

Additional Rewards Each time the counter increases, you can unlock additional rewards.

• The first 100 players to increase their counters to 6 will receive a special buff which increases the chance of the next refinement by 10%.
• The first 50 players to increase their counters to 9 will receive a buff which allows them to refine an item without the required materials.

Further extra bonuses include:

• 5x Blessing of the Dragon, 10x Blessing of Life, 10x Critical Strike, 10x Piercing Strike
• 20x Cor Daemonis (Rough), 1x Cor Draconis (Mystical), 2x Flame of the Dragon

Server Rankings

The top 10 players with the highest counters per server will receive additional rewards at the end of the event, based on their rank:

• Ranks 4-10: 1x Cor Draconis (Legendary)

Note All Doubloons and Goblin Keys will be removed from the game at the end of the event.

Event: Missions in the Otherworld

Prepare for an unparalleled challenge, where exciting missions, mysterious enemies, and fantastic rewards await you in the Otherworld!

Face the darkness and master the missions!

• Event ends: 30th November 2025 at 11:59 PM (CET)

Our special adventure portal website with the new missions will remain accessible until a day after the event (until 11:59 PM CET on 1st December).

The Mission Portal

There’s a pop-up webpage in the game for the missions. Open it to get an overview of your progress, including all the details on your missions and rewards.

Notes on Missions

Complete missions to earn rewards! Your progress will be updated every few hours, which may take a few moments to appear. Sometimes missions you have already completed will still be marked as open while the server updates your progress. Repeatable missions will only be reset once you have collected the reward, so remember to pick them up regularly.

• Daily missions are reset at 11:59 PM CET.
• Weekly missions are reset each Sunday at 11:59 PM CET.
• Monthly missions are reset on the last day of the month at 11:59 PM CET. As these missions are repeatable, you can keep getting rewards from them!
• The unique missions can only be completed once.
• Some missions are only available once you reach a certain level or champion level.
• Once you unlock a reward, click on it to collect it. The reward will be sent to the mailbox of your currently active character.

Missions in the Otherworld

There are six different missions available for your Journey to the Otherworld, some are daily, some once per event, and some unique. There are plenty of rewards waiting for you, like the Damnation Key+, Cor Draconis (Antique) and much more!

Event: Journey to the Otherworld

Descend into the Otherworld and brave four devilish trials: face off against the four emissaries of the Otherworld and earn your right to take part in the ultimate confrontation against the Lord of Damnation.

Along your journey to the Otherworld you can earn precious materials for crafting the Damnation Shield or the Phoenix of Redemption. The event takes part in two phases:

First Phase

• Starts: 24th November 2025 at midnight (CET)
• Ends: 28th November 2025 at 11:00 PM (CET)

In the first phase of the event, the boundaries to the Otherworld are weakening, and you can play for items which you will require in the second phase by defeating monsters and gathering Death Flames. These can be exchanged for Asmodeus Keys, Black Letters, Water of Life and Dead Souls. At the end of this phase, the Otherworld Portal becomes available and you can journey through to the other side.

Second Phase

• Starts: 29th November 2025 at midnight (CET)
• Ends: 30th November 2025 at 11:59 PM (CET)

In the second phase, you must battle through the Otherworld. Here you will need to call upon the items which you gathered in the first phase. Confront the four emissaries for the right to face Asmodeus. Of course, you’ll have a chance to get some great rewards from these preliminary fights too. If you are successful and manage to defeat the mighty Asmodeus, you can enter the divine room of Salvation, where even more rewards await you.

Enter the Dungeon

• The Otherworld is a hellish place which you must cross before facing Asmodeus, King of the Otherworld. You can reach the Otherworld by travelling through the portal at Cape Dragon Fire. You’ll need 3 Black Letters before you can pass through the portal. The Otherworld consists of four rooms. Each room has an emissary who you must face in battle.
• Damnation is the place of judgement – here you will face your final opponent, Asmodeus. Use Dead Souls to weaken Asmodeus. If you want a significant advantage in combat against him, wear the Damnation set. The Otherworld Talisman also provides succour against Asmodeus’ dark arts. As ruler of the Otherworld, Asmodeus cannot ever truly be defeated there; indeed, he will return from the dead soon after you have defeated him, allowing you to face him again. The more often you manage to defeat him, the greater your reward.

Event Items

• The Black Letter allows you to enter the Otherworld. Obtained using 1 Death Flame (80% chance).
• Use Water of Life to revive yourself in the Otherworld. Obtained using 5 Death Flames (80% chance).
• Use Dead Souls to reduce Asmodeus’ maximum HP. Obtained using 10 Death Flames (80% chance).
• The Asmodeus Key allows you to enter Damnation and face Asmodeus directly, skipping the four trials without having to defeat their emissaries.

Today we carried out a maintenance with the goal of fixing the issue affecting Depths of Greed and Heart of Greed, which prevented us from opening this content with Tuesday patch release.

However, during today’s maintenance the problems persisted. To avoid risking server stability or negatively impacting gameplay, we have decided to keep Depths of Greed and Heart of Greed disabled for now.

Main Quest

Biologist Quest

• As with all Yohara biologist quests, it can be reset and repeated in order to obtain various rewards.

• Daily quests from the Bounty Hunter in Moonshadow Vale
• Unique Moonshadow Vale quests from Taehwarang, Deokbae and the Lost Soldier

Large Map

• The large map for this zone can be crafted with Uriel.

The Sombre Plateau

• New boss room in the north of Moonshadow Vale
• Not instanced—all players can enter together; no group required

• Can be summoned at the statue on the Sombre Plateau

• Accessible via the Heart of Greed
• At least one monster must have been defeated en route for the portal to open

Aamon’s Boss Battle

• Caution—every time a group member dies, it charges the Moonshadow Curse and makes Aamon stronger!
• Keep an eye out for Dragonsoul Albira and her Sunshards, which will support you in your fight against the darkness

Further Adjustments

Poison, Bleeding & Confusion

• As before, bleeding, poison and the new confusion effect can only be inflicted on monsters a maximum of 7 levels above your own
• New: To determine this threshold, half of your champion level is now be added to your current level
• Please note: As before, certain opponents, especially bosses, can be immune to one or more of these effects

BUG FIXES

Graphics

• Rewards from Meley’s Lair are now highlighted when added to your inventory.
• When champion-level pets gain experience, the colour of the EXP marble is now displayed correctly.
• Issues leading to display problems with Monster Card names in tooltips have been fixed.
• Beran-Setaou’s name (event, RX and TR) and damage are now displayed in full.
• Fog no longer causes texture issues on bridges.
• Aura Outfits now remain visible when Blade Ninjas perform Fast Attacks.

Other Bug Fixes

• If two GPUs are available and you’re using two monitors, you can now choose which GPU you want the game to run on. *The description of Serpent greatswords now mentions the -10% handicap on attack speed that is intrinsic to these weapons.
• Please note that this isn’t a nerf—this handicap has always existed, it was just never previously mentioned in the weapon description.
• Oceanic Shoes and Fire Shoes are now listed in the correct category (jewellery) with NPCs.
• The effects ‘Strong Against Metin Stones’ and ‘Attack Damage Against Bosses’ also now apply to boss Metin stones.
• Group invitation requests via other members are now permitted, even if the leader is not in the same channel.
• Certain group bonuses (‘Average Damage Resistance’ and ‘HP Recovery per Kill’) are now no longer negative if a group member is out of range.
• The price of transport boxes is now displayed while managing the premium shop.
• Opening the target UI and changing the language in game no longer causes a system error.
• Pet evolutions from level 105 to champion level 1 are now performed correctly, even if the item EXP is maxed out.
• The quest for shaman training is now displayed correctly upon reaching level 5 with the shaman.
• An inventory issue that prevented players from swapping their three-socket weapons for one-socket weapons from the bottom row has been fixed.
• Auto-hunting settings are no longer overwritten in the event that two characters on different servers share the same name.
• Royal Keys are now also consumed from the belt inventory.
• Attempting to switch a Jadite Alchemist with the same Jadite Alchemist now displays the correct error message.
• Using hair dye at level 120 now displays the correct error message.
• When pets from eggs are sold to NPCs, the price is now displayed in the description.

Dear players,

A maintenance will take place tomorrow at 08:00 CET, during this maintenance we will release our Tyranny of Aamon update on all servers, please expect a longer than usual downtime while we apply the update and work on our servers.

The update will open the way to Moonshadow Vale and will allow all players to continue the story of Yohara, some content included in the update will start in a disabled state due to some technical issue, this includes the Depths of Greed and the Heart of Greed, these features will be enabled as soon as the issue is resolved.

The full changelog is planned to be published during the maintenance, as usual.

Metin2 News

With the release of update 25.2, Tyranny of Aamon, we’ll be adding new permanently available missions (similar to the Sung Ma missions). The focus of these missions is the content on Yohara and the new Moonshadow Vale – with matching extra rewards!

These will make it possible to pick up 3 Frozen Keys per week and challenge Alastor. This also applies for all future adventurers in Moonshadow Vale, who will be able to pick up 3 of the new Keys to the Heart per week (in addition to the regular sources in the game).

Offers & Release Date

Just over a week ago, we launched the new Yohara Boost servers Yohara Boost Server – Details and FAQ on which you can rapidly level up a hero to champion level 1, giving you a chance to hit the ground running in Yohara on the regular servers come February.

For all players who’ve already reached champion level 1 and above on the regular servers, we have the following offers planned:

• More boost events will start once update 25.2 is released.
• Special Yohara missions with additional rewards will start with update 25.2.
• Update 25.2 is slated for release on Tuesday, 18th November 2025.
• Note: The above date may be subject to change. While the patch is currently in a solid state and we’re only putting the finishing touches to it, unforeseeable circumstances could nevertheless still arise which would force us to push the release back to the following week. We will naturally do everything we can to avoid this, and will release confirmation in the forums the Friday beforehand.

We request all participants to check the inboxes of the email addresses they used on Gleam.io and for their Metin2 account on the evening of Friday, 7th November 2025. We’d also recommend you check your spam folder in case the email has wound up there.

What happens if a winner does not respond before the deadline?

If a prize winner does not respond with their postal address by Wednesday, 12th November 2025 (12 PM CET), we will be unable to send them their bundle and will be forced to disqualify them.

If this is a winner of one of the Gaming PC Bundles, we will select a new winner and contact them as described above by Friday ,14th November 2025. We will then wait for a reply until the following Wednesday (19th November 2025, 12 PM CET).

For all other winning bundles, we will not choose a new winner if the original winner does not respond. If the substitute winner of a Gaming PC Bundle also fails to respond within the allotted time, we will not choose a further substitute winner.

Country Specifics

Participation is limited to our shipping guidelines. In general that means participation is limited to the following European countries and those in whose language we publish Metin2:

• EU countries
• United Kingdom
• Switzerland
• Norway
• United Arab Emirates

Countries we cannot send prizes to and are therefore ineligible to participate are:

• War zones (e.g. Russia, Ukraine)
• (Distant) territories of the countries mentioned above

Prizes are sent with a tracking number which we will communicate to you via email as soon as the bundle has been dispatched. Some of the bundles are quite large (such as the aluminium print or the gaming PC), so please keep an eye on your tracking number and arrange to accept the delivery accordingly.

The skies above the three kingdoms are washed with the deepest crimson red. A giant sacrificial altar appears in each of the three capitals and at Cape Dragon Fire. Visit this Altar of Blood and complete the tasks it presents you… wonderful rewards await!

Ritual of Blood

• Starts: 1st November 2025 at midnight (CET)
• Drops end: 23rd November 2025 at 11:59 PM (CET)
• Event ends: 24th November 2025 at 11:59 PM (CET)

How it works:

Harvest souls, offer them in sacrifice at the altar, and complete the Ritual of Blood. Once you gather enough souls, you can try your luck at Soul Roulette and pick up amazing items! Each player with a level 30 or higher character can take part.

Complete the Quest

Visit the Altar of Blood and complete the event quest to earn the Blood Sacrifice effect. Each day there are four different quests, one of which you will be given at random. Completing the quest requires you to bring 10 lots of a certain material to the altar (e.g. Ice Marbles+, Snake Tails, Rusty Blades etc.)

Harvest Souls

When you kill monsters while the Blood Sacrifice effect is active, you’ll have a certain chance to harvest the monsters’ souls. With a regular Blood Sacrifice you can collect up to 20 souls. In the item shop you’ll also find the Rare Blood Sacrifice which allows you to collect up to 150 souls, while also increasing the chance souls will drop. Once you’ve harvested the maximum number of souls (20 or 150), the souls will automatically be delivered to the altar and the Blood Sacrifice effect disappears.

Play Soul Roulette

You can then use the souls to play Soul Roulette. Each round requires 50 souls and 250,000 Yang. Among others you can look forward to the following items:

• Power Lolly
• Small Orison
• Time Spiral (20%)
• Aura Fire Rune (50)
• Wu Sash (basic)
• Hai Sash (basic)

If you’ve used at least 4,000 souls, you can unlock a roulette table with special rewards for 1 hour. Amongst other things you can look forward to the following items (in addition to those from the regular Soul Roulette):

Get ready, as the Yohara Boost servers are returning this Friday! Today we’re giving you more details plus an FAQ.

On the Yohara Boost servers you can gear up a new character ready for the challenges of Yohara. Quickly level up to champion level 1, and take advantage of powerful items, boosts, plus a variety of events and other benefits.

Pick up valuable rewards such as character transfers, a Weapon Skin Voucher+, the Sung Ma Premium Buff for up to 45 days, a Ritual Stone and much more!

Use this head start and the boosts to prepare for the adventures in the new Moonshadow Vale!

Server Launch & Duration

Get ready for when the server opens its gates at 10 AM CET on 31st October 2025! We’re opening one temporary server per region, so one server each for Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Turkey.

• Western Europe: Nyx
• Eastern Europe: Chione
• Turkey: Lodos & Fırtına

Character Transfers After the Yohara Boost server ends, you can transfer up to 2 characters to the regular servers.

• The Yohara Boost servers will remain open until 9th February 2026, 10 AM CET, with transfer registrations opening the same day.
• Transfer registrations are open from 9th–18th February 2026 (9 AM CET).
• Characters will be transferred during regular server maintenance between 11th–18th February 2026.

Ready for Yohara

On the Yohara Boost servers there will again be a pop-up website in the game, displaying the available missions. Complete levelling milestones and weekly tasks in order to be rewarded with gear and other items, enabling you to level up even faster!

With the equipment and Scrolls of Ice you earn, you can face and defeat the weakened Hydra, and reach champion level 1!

Please note that it will not be possible to reach Yohara and play the content there on the Yohara Boost servers. You can however do this on the regular servers once you have transferred your characters from the Yohara Boost servers.

Active Events

The following events will be active on the Yohara Boost servers:

• The server’s basic item drop rate is doubled.
• Monsters and bosses have 40% fewer hit points and deal 40% less damage.
• EXP Boost: Meet the NPC Uriel and receive between 50% and 200% more EXP for characters above level 40 for up to 8 hours.
• Strength of the Tiger: Enjoy +40% PvE damage on the Yohara Boost servers. You can get the requisite item on all servers in your region.
• The Echoes of Power event will be active.
• More frequent Superstones every Monday and Friday.
• The Weapons for Young Heroes quest will be activated.
• Various additional events with item drops from bosses and Metin stones (e.g. Green Dragon Bean, Dragon God Attack, Enchant Item (b) and many more).
• Apprentice Chests of various levels can be received for completing missions.
• All events which are launched on the regular servers during this time will also be activated on the Yohara Boost servers.

Missions

You can find an overview of the available missions in the website pop-up, showing the current status and the rewards you can acquire. Some missions can be completed once per character or multiple times over the course of the server. Pay careful attention so you maximise your rewards!

New this year: The Metin+ management system from SAPPHIRE will be introduced to all servers, and the missions on the temporary server will offer additional rewards for existing or new Metin+ members!

You can find more details on the missions and rewards further down in this post.

Character Level Rankings

There will be a character level ranking list for the duration of the Yohara Boost servers. The 10 characters with the highest level in each kingdom will be rewarded at the end as follows:

• 1st Place: Snow Leonidas (60 Days), Loot Pass (4x 15 Days), Amulet of the Guardians (60 Days), Royal Sash (noble)
• 2nd–5th Place: Snow Leonidas (30 Days), Loot Pass (2x 15 Days), Amulet of the Guardians (30 Days), Sovereign Sash (noble)
• 6th–10th Place: Snow Leonidas (15 Days), Loot Pass (1x 15 Days), Amulet of the Guardians (15 Days), Master Sash (noble)

Rewards will be added to your item depot in the shop at the end. If several players achieve the same maximum level, then ties will be determined by the following:

• 1. Champion Level
• 1. Level
• 1. Time level was reached (the sooner, the better)

Character Transfers

You can unlock the transfer levels I and II for your character via missions in the pop-up. (Transfer level II can alternatively be purchased. A second character transfer can also be purchased.)

The transfers are divided into two levels:

• Level I: With this you can transfer your character, Gaya and the equipment you’re wearing, plus the contents of your item shop storeroom.
• Level II: With this you can also transfer equipped costumes and alchemy items, the first page of your inventory and your belt inventory.
• Please note that the item shop storeroom will be transferred with the first character.

Note the following requirements for transferring characters:

• You can only transfer to servers where you are currently allowed to play.
• If you are from Tigerghost, you can only transfer to this server.
• It isn’t possible to transfer to one of the 3 SAPPHIRE servers.
• Transfers to RUBY, EMERALD or ONYX servers are possible if you already have access or a subscription.
• It is not possible to transfer to Marmara.

Character Transfer Dates

• Transfer registrations are open from 9th–18th February 2026 (9 AM CET).
• Characters will be transferred during regular server maintenance between 11th–18th February 2026.

Untransferable Items The following items (when in your inventory or belt inventory) are excluded from the transfer:

• Strength of the Tiger

Please note: The Dragon Armour+12 and Dragon Helmet+12 items acquired via missions can only be transferred if they are equipped. If you upgrade/downgrade them, they will still be transferred (but again, only if equipped).

FAQ

Can I play on the Yohara Boost servers with multiple characters?

• You can create multiple characters, but note that you can only transfer a maximum of two characters to regular servers at the end.
• Unique missions can only be completed once per character.
• Daily/weekly missions can be completed once per account.
• Each mission is unlocked for the character who reaches the necessary milestone first.
• Once you have unlocked rewards for missions which can be completed per account, these can be collected by any character on this server/account. (This excludes the missions Unlock Transfer Level I/II.)
• Rewards for missions which can be completed per character can only be collected by the character who completes them.

Are the Yohara Packs only available once?

• The Yohara Packs will be automatically awarded to the characters who transfer in February.
• More details on the packs and which you will receive can be found in the Additional Info at the end of the next question.

I want to purchase a level II transfer or a second character transfer in the shop. What do I need to know? Before purchasing, you must have unlocked transfer level I (i.e. completed the mission Unlock Transfer Level I). You can purchase one or both of the following:

Unlock Transfer Level II:

• Unlocks transfer level II for your first character.
• This level can also be unlocked through play. Note that completed purchases cannot be refunded, even if you later unlock the level through play.
• Unlock Transfer Level II does not automatically allow for the transfer of a second character. This purchase option is ONLY available for the first character.

Second Character Transfer:

• Purchasing a second character transfer automatically unlocks transfer levels I and II for a second character.
• The purchase has no impact on the first character’s transfer level. This means that if you have only reached transfer level I for your first character, and then purchase the Second Character Transfer, only the second character will have transfer level II. If you want transfer level II for your first character, you must either purchase it or unlock it through play.

Additional Info

• Depending on the number/level of transferred characters, the following Yohara Packs will be delivered to your item depot in the shop:
• 1 character with level I: 1x Yohara Starter Pack
• 2 characters with level I: 2x Yohara Starter Pack
• 1 character with level I and 1 character with level II: 2x Yohara Starter Pack + 1x Yohara Master Pack
• 2 characters level II: 2x Yohara Starter Pack + 2x Yohara Master Pack

Please ensure that you unlock transfer level I in time (the system needs some time to update your status), ensuring you have enough time to purchase the upgrade you want. Shop packs will be removed several hours before the server closes, so it may be possible that last-minute upgrades and unlocks are no longer possible.

Are there any limitations about which character I may transfer?

• When registering to transfer a character at the end of the Yohara Boost servers, you are free to choose which character to transfer to which server.
• We recommend of course that you transfer your new champion level 1 character, but the choice is entirely up to you.
• Please note that the contents of your item shop storeroom will be transferred with your first character.

How can I collect my reward items?

• Mission rewards are delivered by GM mail (excluding virtual rewards such as transfer levels and associated rewards).
• Yohara Packs will be delivered to your item depot in the shop after transferring your character.
• When purchased, the appropriate level/number of transfers will be activated on the transfer registration page in February.
• Rewards for the character level rankings will be delivered to the item depot in the shop after the end of the rankings.

The gear in the level missions doesn’t match my class.

• The icons for various equipment items are the same for everyone.
• When collecting your reward, you will receive armour or a helmet which matches the class of your selected character.
• Hover over the icon with your mouse to see a full list of all the items which can be delivered.

Note on Available Transfer Destinations You can only ever choose a server on which you have permission to play at the time of registering for a transfer (February 2026) as the destination server.

Permission to play means:

• For closed servers: You already have a character there.
• For paid access/subscription: You have a paid access option on your current account.
• For Tigerghost: Your account is already identified as a Tigerghost account.

Aforementioned limitations obviously still apply (no transfers to SAPPHIRE or Marmara).

Note on Launch of Second Yohara Boost Server

In 2024, some Yohara Boost servers were oversubscribed, which led to a suboptimal gaming experience. In 2025 we’ve prepared for this eventuality and will unlock an additional server if a certain threshold is reached.

Please note: If this should be the case, you can still only enter one of the two servers. If you’re already playing on the first Yohara Boost server, you cannot access the potential second server (and vice versa).

Moonshine Weapons

When exploring Moonshadow Vale, you’ll have a chance to craft the new Moonshine weapons, which surpass all previous weapons in terms of power. These will help you to master all the new challenges awaiting you in this and future updates.

Collect materials from the monsters in the Vale and from the new Depths of Greed and Heart of Greed to craft these powerful weapons.

As before, these weapons can have up to 3 random bonuses. But if you upgrade your crafted weapons up to +10, they will become more powerful by increasing your attack and skill range to even more devastating effect!

Moonshine Boots

In addition to the new weapons, you can also craft the new Moonshine Boots. As with the weapons, you’ll first have to scour Moonshadow Vale and enter the new dungeons to gather all the materials necessary to craft them.

The new boots have up to three usable sockets in which you can insert spirit stones specifically designed for boots. The Moonshine Boots also have a fixed ‘strength against monsters’ bonus and up to 1 random additional bonus.

New Spirit Stones for Boots

Until now, it wasn’t possible to socket boots with spirit stones, but with the introduction of Moonshine Boots we’ll be adding new spirit stones to the game which are exclusive to boots.

Existing boots will also be able to benefit from these new spirit stones, as you will have the ability to unlock up to two sockets on older boots!

Adding sockets to boots requires the Black Diamond Drill which can be looted in the Depths of Greed.

The new spirit stones can provide a mixture of existing bonuses, such as various resistances, but also a new bonus which can put monsters in a Confused state.

Merc & Monster Card Improvements

• Despatch your mercs into Moonshadow Vale and the new dungeons to earn new reward chests with handy items.
• Collect new Monster Cards with some of the new enemies who you will encounter in this new region – including Aamon himself!

Prepare Yourself!

Depths of Greed

In the east of Moonshadow Vale, you’ll find the entrance to the Depths of Greed, an open dungeon which you can also enter without a group.

The dungeon has two levels, where a steep descent halfway through leads you even deeper into the Depths of Greed. Battling your way through the winding cave passages, you’ll encounter monsters rewarding precious experience, Yang and items. But keep your wits about you! From time to time, an Omen of Greed will appear, and each player who contributes to destroying it receives a buff effect for 30 minutes.

On your journey you must be very careful – the caves are guarded by Kalgaroth the Slayer. If you defeat him, you have a chance to loot the Key to the Heart. Using this item you can pass through the Gate of Greed at the deepest point of the dungeon.

Heart of Greed

The Heart of Greed holds the inner sanctum of Aamon the Nightscourge – the driving force behind all the evil in update 25.2!

In order to enter you must meet the following requirements:

• Three keys
• Group of 4–8 players
• Complete the entry quest

Before reaching the inner sanctum, you must cut your way through Aamon’s minions. The more you leave alive, the more will reappear during the final battle, so make sure you thin their ranks as much as possible!

At the sanctum itself, you’ll first encounter Nezerath, Aamon’s lackey. Before you can be granted an audience with Aamon, you must first prove your worth and take Nezerath down. But beware! Every time fresh minions appear he will become invulnerable, so deal with these first so you can finish him off.

Aamon the Nightscourge is the ultimate source of evil you must face in this new expansion. Even if you defeat him now, the results of his malicious deeds will remain with us in the world of Metin2 into the future.

During the battle against him, you must pay attention to his Moonshadow Curse, as each death among your group adds one to the count. Once it reaches a critical level, you can cleanse it, otherwise it will become ever more difficult to defeat Aamon!

But even setting this mechanic aside, Aamon will put you through the wringer, and you will need at least 3 heroes working hard together before you can deal the final blow.

Rewards

After defeating Aamon, each player can loot a treasure chest which contains several possible items in reward.

Of course there will be numerous new and valuable crafting materials to collect or new spirit stones to equip. Yang and Orisons can also be obtained from Aamon’s treasures.

Moonshadow Vale – A New Zone in Yohara

Twisted trees line the horizon, spectral blue flames flicker in the darkness, and banshee-like creatures haunt the land – welcome to Yohara’s Moonshadow Vale!

The atmosphere is underlined by a brand-new soundtrack which you can get a taster of here in our trailer:

Reaching the New Zone:

• Access via a new teleportal at the western edge of Yilad Pass
• Requires a character of champion level 10
• Sung Ma’s Will is more powerful here than ever, with 70 STR, 60 VIT, 70 RES and 80 INT

New story quests from champion level 4 guide you through existing locations (starting with Dragon Watcher Dolnarr) and leading you step by step into Moonshadow Vale.

Anyone completing the quest line to the end can even collect two Ritual Stones.

Metin of Moonlight

The new Metin of Moonlight shines in the silvery shine of the moon. But be careful! Shattering the stone has a chance to summon forth the Cursed Soul Harvester!

This boss is bound to the Metin, and if you remove yourself too far, he will disappear. But defeat him, and you can look forward to fantastic rewards such as Reinforce Item, Enchant Item or the Blessing Marble.

The Altar of Nykos

In the northern area of Moonshadow Vale, you’ll find the mysterious Altar of Nykos. Here you can offer up the Soul Shards you have looted in the region.

Collect enough and together with your group you can summon the powerful new world boss Nykos. If you manage to defeat him, you can enjoy Monster Cards, valuable crafting materials, scrolls to summon the Metin of Moonlight, and more. Hint: The player who performs the summoning will receive additional rewards, so make sure to choose an honourable captain, or take turns to perform the ritual.

Azphirna, Queen of the Banshees

The open world of Moonshadow Vale is oft haunted by Azphirna, Queen of the Banshees. She is the only opponent who can drop all five types of Soul Shard required to summon Nykos, as well as very rare crafting materials.

On 15th October, we’ll have more details on the two new dungeons in Moonshadow Vale for you. In both the Depths of Greed (open dungeon within the map) and the Heart of Greed (instanced dungeon) you can loot materials for new items. Then on 22nd October, there’ll be additional info on the various new items you can look forward to in the upcoming update.

The days are getting shorter, the nights are drawing in… Halloween is upon us! During these dark nights of terror, the denizens of the three kingdoms dress up in spectacularly creepy costumes, take their scary pets out on parade, and earn fabulous prizes in the Yut Nori Event from 8th October!

Halloween Items in the Shop

To make sure you’re well kitted out for the occasion, you can pick up new Halloween items in the shop:

Event: Yut Nori

Hunt monsters to gather Birch Branches, combine 28 of these into a Yut Nori Board, and let the fun begin!

• Starts: 8th October at midnight (CEST)
• End of the Birch Branch drops and the shop offers: 31st October at 11:59 PM (CET)
• Event ends: 1st November at 11:59 PM (CET)

How to Play

You can play the game as soon as you have a Yut Nori Board:

1. You play against the computer.
2. Each player has two pieces. Whichever player brings both pieces home first is the winner.
3. Instead of dice, the game uses Yut Sticks. The number of spaces you can move is determined by how many sticks land with the flat side facing up.
4. The first throw determines the starting player. The player with the lowest score begins.
5. Click on ‘Throw’. Your move is displayed below. Select the piece you wish to move.
6. If you land directly on a space with an arrow, you can take the shortcut.

You can also exchange the Yut Nori Board for the Yut Nori Secret which grants you increases of 20% EXP, 5% item drops and 10% strength against monsters for 30 minutes.

Throws and Moves

Do (one flat side up): Move forwards 1 space Gae (two flat sides up): Move forwards 2 spaces Geol (three flat sides up): Move forwards 3 spaces Yut (four flat sides up): Move forwards 4 spaces Mo (four rounded sides up): Move forwards 5 spaces Back Do (only marked stick with flat side up): Move backwards 1 space. If you do not have a token on the board, you will have to wait a turn.

Job-gi: Landing directly on a space occupied by the computer’s token removes it from the board and you receive 10 points. Up-gi: If both of your pieces end the turn on the same space, you move them as one starting with the next turn. Throw again: If you score a Yut or Mo, you get another turn.

You can increase your chances of landing a certain throw. Simply select it from the relevant menu.

Points

1. Throwing the Yut Sticks: -10
2. Catching the computer’s piece: +10
3. Computer catches your piece: -10
4. Getting your piece home: +10
5. Computer gets piece home: -10

Note

If you abandon the game or leave the map on which you are playing, you will not receive any reward.

Raffle FAQ

What are the dates for the raffle and prizes?

Please take note of the following dates which apply to both the Gleam.io and our part of the raffle:

Wednesday, 8th October: Start collecting tickets. Wednesday, 5th November: Stop collecting tickets. Winners are determined. Friday, 7th November at the latest: Winners will be contacted by email so they can provide their postal addresses. Wednesday, 12th November (12 PM CET) at the latest: Deadline for replying to the previous email asking for postal addresses. The bundles will then start to be dispatched.

How will the winners be determined?

Gleam.io will determine its part of the winners themselves. Gameforge will only receive the email addresses of the 50 winners and contact them accordingly. For our part of the raffle, an internal team will check that participating accounts conform to the necessary criteria and select the remaining 50 winners.

Which countries can participate in the raffle? Where can bundles be sent?

Participation is limited to our shipping guidelines. In general that means participation is limited to European countries and those in whose language we publish Metin2:

• EU countries
• United Kingdom
• Switzerland
• Norway
• United Arab Emirates

Countries we cannot send prizes to and are therefore ineligible to participate are:

• For Turkey details, please check Turkish language news
• War zones, such as Russia and Ukraine
• (Distant) territories of the countries mentioned above

What happens if a winner does not respond before the deadline?

If a prize winner does not respond with their postal address by Wednesday, 12th November (12 PM CET), we will be unable to send them their bundle and will be forced to disqualify them. If this is a winner of one of the Gaming PC Bundles, we will select a new winner and contact them as described above by Friday ,14th November. We will then wait for a reply until the following Wednesday (19th November, 12 PM CET). For all other winning bundles, we will not choose a new winner if the original winner does not respond. If the substitute winner of a Gaming PC Bundle also fails to respond within the allotted time, we will not choose a further substitute winner.

What happens if a bundle cannot be delivered?

If we dispatch a bundle which cannot be delivered for reasons beyond our control, we will not send a replacement. We have had cases in the past, particularly for some of our Turkish players, where bundles containing fan art or electronics could not be delivered because they were stopped at the border.

What do I need to participate via Gleam.io?

You only need a name and email address to participate in the Gleam.io campaign. Your Gameforge or Metin2 account are not necessary for participating and collecting tickets. The winners will be determined by Gleam.io and contacted afterwards so they can provide their delivery addresses.

What do I need to participate via ‘Play Metin2!’?

For the in-game part of our raffle, you need a Gameforge account and a Metin2 character who can participate in the missions. You receive raffle tickets for completing missions, as well as from Twitch drops. After the event on 5th November there will be a list of all participants and the total number of tickets they’ve collected. This list of participants will be checked according to the following criteria:

• Gameforge and Metin2 accounts are in good standing (not temporarily or permanently banned when the winners are chosen).
• The Metin2 account has at least 1 character which has completed the quest ‘The Biologist’s Research (Orc Tooth)’ requiring level 30.
• The Gameforge account email address must have been verified in the Gameforge Client.
• The Gameforge account must have agreed to allow to be contacted by Gameforge for ‘Latest Information and Special Offers from Gameforge’, otherwise we are not permitted to contact you via email. You’ll find the last two settings in the Gameforge Client:

Do I need to register anywhere?

You need an account if you intend to participate via Gleam.io, either one you already own or one you newly create. Your Gleam.io account is in no way linked with your Gameforge account; it is a completely separate platform with its own account to which we have no access.

For in-game participation in the raffle, there is no special registration required. Each ticket you earn via missions or Twitch drops is automatically entered for you.

Where can I see my tickets from Twitch drops?

The tickets earned via Twitch are automatically added to your account. You can see how many tickets for ‘Play Metin2!’ you have on the mission website. They do not need to be collected from the item depot. All other rewards earned via Twitch drops must be collected from your item depot in the item shop within 30 days as usual.
