The skies above the three kingdoms are washed with the deepest crimson red. A giant sacrificial altar appears in each of the three capitals and at Cape Dragon Fire. Visit this Altar of Blood and complete the tasks it presents you… wonderful rewards await!

Ritual of Blood

• Starts: 9th September 2023 at midnight (CEST)
• Drops end: 3rd October 2023 at 11:59 PM (CEST)
• Event ends: 4th October 2023 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

How it works:

Harvest souls, offer them in sacrifice at the altar, and complete the Ritual of Blood. Once you gather enough souls, you can try your luck at Soul Roulette and pick up amazing items! Each player with a level 30 or higher character can take part.

Complete the Quest

Visit the Altar of Blood and complete the event quest to earn the Blood Sacrifice effect. Each day there are four different quests, one of which you will be given at random. Completing the quest requires you to bring 10 lots of a certain material to the altar (e.g. Ice Marbles+, Snake Tails, Rusty Blades etc.)

Harvest Souls

When you kill monsters while the Blood Sacrifice effect is active, you’ll have a certain chance to harvest the monsters’ souls. With a regular Blood Sacrifice you can collect up to 20 souls. In the item shop you’ll also find the Rare Blood Sacrifice which allows you to collect up to 150 souls, while also increasing the chance souls will drop. Once you’ve harvested the maximum number of souls (20 or 150), the souls will automatically be delivered to the altar and the Blood Sacrifice effect disappears.

Play Soul Roulette

You can then use the souls to play Soul Roulette. Each round requires 50 souls and 250,000 Yang. Among others you can look forward to the following items:

• Power Lolly
• Small Orison
• Time Spiral (20%)
• Aura Fire Rune (50)
• Wu Sash (basic)
• Hai Sash (basic)

If you’ve used at least 4,000 souls, you can unlock a roulette table with special rewards for 1 hour. Amongst other things you can look forward to the following items (in addition to those from the regular Soul Roulette):

We would like to address a recent misunderstanding regarding the changes made to the Summer Event. We apologize for any confusion that may have arisen from our previous communication. We want to clarify the following points:

Change in Event Behavior: Due to updates in the events' user interface (UI), the Summer Event now operates differently. In previous years, there was a period between the end of the drop phase and the end of the event during which players could exchange their scoops. However, this year, this opportunity is no longer available.

Ice Scoop: Unfortunately, at this moment, we are unable to revert the event to its previous state with the same amount of scoop that players had before the event ends.

Moving forward, we are committed to being more precise and transparent in our event announcements to avoid any future misunderstandings.

To compensate for any inconvenience caused, we are pleased to offer the following to all players who have finished level 30 bio quest and have accounts that were created more than three months ago:

Thanks to a wealth of amazing community feedback, we’ve reworked the Battle Pass again and made some changes!

Some of the challenges which many players found too difficult have been removed, while we’ve also adjusted the amount of Battle Pass XP you receive for completing challenges. The rewards have also been completely updated, with the Battle Pass now including both higher value rewards, and also requiring less Battle Pass XP in order to unlock them all.

Once again, all servers can enjoy the benefits of the second Battle Pass season! If you’re playing on an EMERALD server, you can also take advantage of the free Premium Battle Pass; simply collect it from the shop with your character on the EMERALD server. There are tons of exciting challenges and a whole mountain of great rewards to collect – including the new Cor Daemonis, Ritual Stones, Donnie’s Rabbit Cage (tradeable), Flame of the Dragon, Royal Sash (noble) and much more.

How It Works

• Complete a variety of weekly and unique challenges to earn Battle Pass XP.

• If you want to earn even more items, you can pick up the Premium Battle Pass and collect even more amazing rewards! The Premium Battle Pass is free for players on EMERALD servers! Simply use your character on the EMERALD server to open the shop and collect it for free there.

Important

• Your Battle Pass progress (challenges and rewards) as well as shop purchases (Premium Battle Pass and Battle Pass XP) are bound to the server on which you play with this Battle Pass. After switching servers you will therefore have a different Battle Pass.
• The complete list of challenges and rewards can be found on the Battle Pass website from within the game.

The Mission Portal

There’s a pop-up webpage in the game for the missions (similar to the one for the Battle Pass). There you’ll be able to get an overview of your progress, including full details on your missions and rewards.

Notes on Missions

Complete missions to earn rewards! Your progress will be updated every few hours, which may take a short while. Please note that missions may still be displayed as being open during this time, even though you have already completed them. Repeatable missions will only be reset once you have collected the reward, so remember to pick them up regularly.

• Daily missions are reset at 11:59 PM (CEST).
• Weekly missions are reset each Sunday at 11:59 PM (CEST).
• Monthly missions are reset on the last day of the month at 11:59 PM (CEST). As these missions are repeatable, you can keep getting rewards from them!
• The unique missions can only be completed once.
• Some missions are only available with a certain level or champion level.
• Click on a reward once unlocked to collect it. The reward will be sent to the mailbox of your currently active character.

Otherworld Missions

There are six different missions available for your Journey to the Otherworld, either daily, once per event or unique.

Defeat Asmodeus, destroy the Salvation Metins and enjoy rewards such as the Damnation Key+, Cor Draconis (Antique) and more!

Sung Mahi’s Invasion Missions

Nine different new missions are available for Sung Mahi’s Invasion, either daily, weekly, monthly or unique. The missions are permanently available on all servers.

Take on the Destruction of the Sung Ma Invasion Portal mission, defeat bosses in Sung Mahi Tower, craft a Titanium Belt and enjoy tons of great rewards, including Jewellery Boxes, Flame of the Dragon, Cor Draconis (Antique) and much more!

Event: Journey to the Otherworld

Descend into the Otherworld and brave four devilish trials: face off against the four emissaries of the Otherworld and earn your right to the ultimate confrontation against the Lord of Damnation.

Along your journey to the Otherworld you can earn precious materials for crafting the new Damnation Shield or the Phoenix of Redemption. The event takes part in two phases:

First Phase

• Starts: 1st September 2023 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 5th September 2023 at 11:00 PM (CEST)

In the first phase of the event, where the boundaries to the Otherworld are weakening, you can play for items which you will require in the second phase by defeating monsters and gathering Death Flames. These can be exchanged for Asmodeus Keys, Black Letters, Water of Life and Dead Souls. At the end of this phase, the Otherworld Portal becomes available and you can journey through to the other side.

Second Phase

• Starts: 6th September 2023 at midnight (CEST)
• Ends: 8th September 2023 at 11:59 PM (CEST)

In the second phase, you must battle through the Otherworld. Here you will need to call upon the items which you gathered in the first phase. Confront four emissaries for the right to face Asmodeus. In these fights you will already have the chance to loot some great rewards. If you are successful and manage to defeat the mighty Asmodeus, you can enter the divine room of Salvation, where your rewards await you.

Enter the Dungeon

• The Otherworld is a hellish place which you must cross before facing Asmodeus, King of the Otherworld. You can reach the Otherworld by travelling through the portal at Cape Dragon Fire. Passing through the portal requires 3 Black Letters. The Otherworld consists of four rooms. In each room you must then face off against its emissary in combat.

• Damnation is the place of judgement – here you will face your final opponent, Asmodeus. Use Dead Souls to weaken Asmodeus. You can also gain a significant advantage in combat against him by wearing the Damnation set. The Otherworld Talisman also provides succour against Asmodeus’ dark arts. As ruler of the Otherworld, Asmodeus cannot ever truly be defeated there; indeed he will return from the dead soon after you have defeated him, allowing you to face him again. The more often you manage to defeat him, the greater your reward.

Event Items

• The Black Letter allows you to enter the Otherworld. It can be obtained for 1 Death Flame (80% chance).
• Water of Life can be used to revive you in the Otherworld. It can be obtained for 5 Death Flames (80% chance).
• Dead Souls can be used to reduce Asmodeus’ maximum HP. They can be obtained for 10 Death Flames (80% chance).
• The Asmodeus Key allows you to enter Damnation directly and face Asmodeus. You can use it to skip the four trials without having to defeat their emissaries.

Invading Bosses

Invading bosses will appear at various locations in the world of Metin2 and must be destroyed. They can easily be identified as they appear in locations where they normally wouldn’t. You may even come across mighty dungeon bosses in the open world!

Milestones

Every time an invading boss is killed on your EMERALD server, you and your server will be credited with a certain number of points. The points depend on the level of the boss killed, as well as whether you were in the requisite level range to earn points. All personal and server milestones are reset each month (at the same time as the rankings), giving you a fresh opportunity to complete the milestones and benefit from the rewards.

Personal Rewards

You will receive the following rewards for your personal points. As soon as you reach the requisite milestone and have the number of points necessary, you can collect the reward.

Server Milestones

The server milestones are reached by adding together the points of all individual players on a server, thereby unlocking powerful buffs automatically.

Notes:

• Yang, EXP and item drops are base server values. When these milestones are reached, twice the amount of Yang, EXP and items will drop on the server. All other boosts modify this doubled base value (e.g. from using items, buffs, potions etc.).
• You can see how far your server has come via a progress bar.
• The points are updated roughly every two hours.

Daily Rotating Events & Item Drops

Monthly Rankings

In addition to unlocking milestones, the points earned for killing the invading bosses also count towards the monthly rankings. These show who has earned the most invasion points in their kingdom. The rankings are account-based, taking into account the points of all characters on an account. They run from midnight (CEST) on the 15th of each month and end at 11:59 PM (CEST) on the 14th of the following month. The top 25 players per kingdom receive a reward, while the top 10% of players per kingdom receive an additional 100 Tiger Coins. The following ranking rewards are up for grabs:

Server Firsts

As with earlier server events (e.g. RUBY Servers 2022), the EMERALD servers also offer special rewards for those players who achieve certain server firsts, including loot pets, Ritual Stones, Nazar Amulets and much more!

EMERALD Server Access

In order to enter the EMERALD servers, you’ll need an active EMERALD subscription. This is a new feature added to the Gameforge Client. For the low price of just €5.99 for 30 days, you can gain access to the EMERALD server with all the benefits and boosts. Simply click on EMERALD in the launcher and navigate through the page which opens up. You can dive straight into your EMERALD server once you have confirmed your subscription. As an alternative to the 30-day subscription, you can also top up 90 or 180 days of playing time on your account with no automatic renewal.

Note on Access

• The EMERALD subscription is region-locked, meaning that if you have a WEST account, you can only play on the WEST region server.
• If you don’t have a Metin2 account yet, the EMERALD button won’t be visible in the launcher. Please launch the game once first.
• The EMERALD button will be activated at 9:00 AM (CEST) on 18th August 2023 – one hour before the servers go live!

Can I purchase EMERALD server access in the shop?

• Access can only be purchased via the EMERALD button in the Gameforge Client.

I’ve receive a playing time coupon. What can I do with it?

• You can redeem this coupon via the membership menu (the EMERALD button in the client) to add time to your account.

I have an active membership. Can I still redeem a playing time coupon?

• Yes, you can! Your account will be credited with the time and your next subscription payment will be automatically delayed by the according number of days.

Can I trade/gift access to other players?

• Access is only possible via your specific subscription, and cannot be traded in the game.

How many EMERALD servers will there be?

• There is planned to be one EMERALD server per region (WEST, EAST, Turkey). If we open a second server, then your membership will automatically be valid for both servers in the same region.

Can players from RU Россия, GR Ελλάδα, AE العالم العربي also participate?

• These players can participate by creating an account in one of the EMERALD regions.

Can players from the WEST Tigerghost server also participate?

• Unfortunately, Tigerghost players will have to create a separate account to join the EMERALD servers.

• You can receive exactly one Black Horse during the event. The more Ice Cream Scoops you exchange, the longer the mount’s duration
• The Cool Box which Summer offers in exchange for an Ice Cream Cake contains one of many great items such as Magic Iron Ore, Magic Copper Ore, Enchant Item, Pearls, Skill Books and much more!

Summer Shop Offers

Head over to the shop to discover some fantastic summer offers, with cool outfits for Lifeguards+ and matching Beach Caps+ in red or white ready for your trip to the beach.

Challenge Rewards

In the daily early access challenges, you must complete mission book quests, reach certain levels, destroy Metin stones, defeat bosses and more.

Here is an example for the first day of Early Access challenges

Day 1

1. Complete all other daily challenges.
2. Complete 1 mission book quest (basic).
3. Reach level 20.
4. Destroy 1 Metin of Black.
5. Complete any 2 mission book quests.
6. Destroy any 2 Metin stones.
7. Defeat any 1 boss.
8. Upgrade equipment twice.
9. Buy an item from NPCs 5 times.
10. Sell an item to NPCs 5 times.

Once you’ve completed a certain number of challenges (2, 5, 7 and 10), you’ll receive certain rewards. You can complete up to 10 challenges each day. Each challenge only counts once.

Will you manage to complete all the challenges and get the maximum rewards? Completing 65 challenges each week can earn you even more special rewards. Again, each challenge only counts once.

Server First Ranking Rewards

Be among the first players to reach certain milestones to earn even more rewards.

• Server first rankings start during early access and continue on the live server.
• Only the first players to achieve certain things will be rewarded.
• The complete list of missions and rewards can be found in the game. The rewards include such highlights as the Ordinary Aura Outfit, Bruce’s Shrine, the Seal of the Gods and much more.

On top of that, the public test server (PTS) also gives us the chance to improve technical aspects of the game, such as avoiding hardware failures and outages, improving game stability and using larger storage.

Access to the PTS

Play on the PTS and choose from a set of maxed-out characters with premium gear. This is your chance to try out some ultra-high-level content!

It’s really easy:

1. Click on the drop-down menu under your account name in the Gameforge Client.
2. Select Redeem Coupon.
3. Enter the code JOINM2PTS and click on Activate Coupon Code.
4. ‘Metin2 PTS’ will now be displayed to you in the overview and you can play on the server.

You can download the game now. The server will be online as follows:

• You can access the high-level gear via the shop warehouse and mailbox.
• We would like to remind you of the following with regard to the public test server:

• There won’t be an option to switch from one server to another (no character transfers or merging).

Event Sunday

On Sunday 3rd July, we’ll be letting loose with two events: You’ll face both individual and team challenges – but it’ll be so worth it!

Awesomeness awaits: If you take part in Sung Mahi’s Invasion and the world boss event on Event Sunday between 4 and 8 PM (CEST), you can nab a voucher (max. 1 per Gameforge account). You can look forward to the following prizes:

Sung Mahi’s Invasion

In the exclusive Yohara dungeon ‘Sung Mahi’s Invasion’, you must rise to the challenge on a random map together with other players from your kingdom. From 4 PM (CEST), you’ll face wave upon wave of evil creatures, destroy the 6 invasion portals, and take down the boss at the end.

PTS Reward Complete the event with other players and unlock an EXP bonus of 100% on all servers from 6th to 12th July!

The World Boss Event

Defeat world bosses in a neutral zone and receive rewards! Whether it’s Bagjanamu, Polyphemos, Azrael, Dragon Watcher Idall or The Great Ogre, these giants are a challenge to whole legions of courageous players.

The bosses appear between 6 and 7 PM (CEST). But be careful, they pack quite a punch! The bosses deal greater damage and have more health than on the live servers.
