    Some misc information


    It is possible to launch the client using the file metin2client.exe and log the accounts normally, IF THE ACCOUNT IS NOT LINKED


    It is not possible to revert a linked account into a not linked account (now and most likely in the future)


    The error "there was a problem please contact support" means your account is linked, and therefore cannot be logged anymore using the metin2client launcher, only the gameforge launcher


    It should be possible to migrate an account from one gameforge account to another, to start this process you need to send a ticket to support http://support.metin2.co.uk

    Pff...Cant be unlinked? Well there should have been at least decent amount of informations given to the players before this patch happened so we wouldnt get trapped into this.. seriously.. :pillepalle:

    What do you mean? You can take stuff and open as many clients as u wish still. I only played around with this new client for few hours. i found it useful, i can log my characters without having to type the logins, + i can change channel by logging out and then after selecting channel it will log my account automatically. And if i want to take stuff i still have to log new client since the items are on different character / account. Character change works fine. I still dont get what you meant with your post.

    And like it or not, it is better in any way, saves time and trouble, makes it easier to change between accounts, it's easier to change channels, allows for multiclients, it's simple to use, and overall it's a better experience


    All the problems and the complains are related to one thing only, and that's account sharing, that even beeing forbidden, you guys persist on doing it.


    It's a new launcher, with a easier and simpler way to log your accounts, nobody is trapped on anything, except basically a new screen before you start your client.

    I think that somebody should be told that it is very unprofessional to make a big change in the community and give such a low amount of informations to the fellow players. Apparently, accounts that have been linked to the new client cannot be unlinked - (at least thats the answer most of us got); There should have been a long description about what this change actually means, not just one sentence that doesnt really explain anything. This had a huge impact on many players that cannot access their accounts anymore. (Should I mention that this didnt really solve the problems of sudden client crashes?) If players didnt get any relevant information about the client change and they got trapped into this, at least they should get an option of unlinking accounts. And who wants to stay to play like that, let them stay. If you left the Metin2.exe option avaliable, why trapping players into something they dont want? Did anyone ask players do they really want this? Do they really need this? But seems like us players are the least important here. But that is just my two cents.

    That is false, and there's absolutly no reason for anyone to not be able to access their account as you are trying to claim, this is a new way to log in, no more no less, nobody is trapped anywhere


    And since you have only 10 posts i will give you an important piece of information, i will not allow you to spread blatant lies, you have been warned, you stated your opinion, you don't like it, yada yada yada... but thread carefully, you will not be allowed to spread false information


    Again, like it or not, any current real issue comes from sharing accounts, and if you share, you are really the one to blame for doing it

    All I am trying to say is: if you left metin2.exe option open, why not let players choose which way they want? We didnt know at first what the thing is about. If somebody wants do undo, let them undo.

    Yes you're right, it is due to account sharing and although that was forbidden, it was noted on the website that those who shared their accounts would be breaking the terms and conditions for use. This meant that the shared account won't receive any support services.


    People were OK with that because not everyone CAN make a level 100+ accs for the new runs, not everyone can play at the same time due to different time zones, not all items belonged to 1 person. Heck, GF even implemented the scroll of binding to help prevent items being stolen.


    This really does suck. Now some people are at a halt from making your runs that require a level 100+ shaman or a level 100+ ninja, or 4 other level 95+ accounts.

    I can't start the game using GF launcher. When i click play, cheat blocker appears and after that nothing.

    All tickets regarding transfering accounts between gameforge accounts are handled at this moment, and the tickets are moved to GF support, so any delays it's not the UK team, and probably GF support is quite swamped with this kind of tickets right now, please be patient

    You guys are never happy. Until now there been mentioned like ten thousand times that we should be able to switch between channels faster, without being able to insert the login details every time. And well, here.. you have it. You can switch between channels and between accounts faster than ever. Yet you still complaining because “not much info” nor “accounts being lost.

    If you were not happy with the given info, you should’ve used the old client, instead of hurrying to add all the possible accounts on the new one.

    Someone else registered one of your accounts on their gameforce account or vice-versa?! .. that can be fixed too with a ticket.

    You still want to share a char with friends without them having access to all of your other accounts?! That can be done too.

    You say you briefly been informed about the change .. personally I think that was sufficient. After all you don’t have a saying in the changes which are being implemented so just deal with whatever the developers decide is better. The whole “Metin2 will lose players because of this” or “Metin2 will die because of this” are also insignificant phrases, used since at least 10 years ago. Yet here we are.

    When we had the button "switch channel" was faster then log off and then choose and log on, I still didn't find a positive on this, +1 launcher from gf always taking memory from the system, long time to open clients, and no given option to the players that didn't know to choose
