- When I try to start the game I get the following window saying "File could not be created..."

antivirus blocking it most likely

you need to check if the antivirus already quarantined it, even of, if it's already quarantined it will continue to not work, also remebr windows defender
and make sure you don't have weird characters on the path of th metin folder

The issue was due to the fact that I didn't quit my metin after the maintenance. So after I quit the "old" version the patcher was happy again.
