New Character Transfer Page

    Moving forward, it’s going to be much clearer and easier to plan your character transfers in Metin2! The new system allows you to directly see which characters can be transferred to which servers, and you can easily set everything up through the Missions and More pop-up.

    Read on to find out everything about the new system, which will be accessible after today’s maintenance, as well as what will happen to transfers you’ve already lined up.

    New Scheduling Page

    Instead of having to search for a specific shop item for your chosen character, the new scheduling page has been integrated as a website into the Missions and More pop-up.

    Here you’ll be able to do the following:

    • Select servers via the Source Server and Destination Server dropdown menus and see which transfer combinations are possible.
    • After selecting a combination, you’ll see a list of your characters on the source server.
    • Select a character, then click the Check button, and the page will now indicate whether the character can be transferred, and if not, why not.
    • Once your character is ready for transfer, you can schedule it at the cost of a Transfer Token. Transfer Tokens can be purchased for Dragon Coins (for the same costs as previously).

    Managing Your Transfers

    We’ve also added a management page alongside the scheduling page. Here you can view the status of currently scheduled transfers, as well as previous transfers.

    • Scheduled Transfers: The list of transfers scheduled for the next weekly maintenance. You can still cancel the transfer until the maintenance time.
    • Previous Transfer: The list of previous transfers which were either successfully completed or cancelled (either by yourself or because of system restrictions).

    If a transfer is cancelled, whether by you or because the requirements were no longer met, the Transfer Token used will be credited to your account and can be used again for transfers in the future. Transfer Tokens remain in your account until they are successfully used.

    System Changes

    A few further changes have been made to the system alongside the overhaul of transfers:

    • The former ‘VIP status’ no longer exists. When transfers to ‘closed’ servers are available, the system will provide access to them, making sure you can access your transferred character.
    • A cancelled transfer refunds the token to your account. There’s no need for multiple ‘attempts’ anymore; if you want to try again, simply reschedule the character for transfer.
    • In the future, Premium Character Slots will become available. The new system already supports these, and will display them even if they are not yet available.
    • Since the status of transfers (scheduled/cancelled/failed) is now displayed on the new page, no more status emails will be sent.

    Implementing the Change

    We will move from the current system to the new one with this week’s maintenance as follows:

    • All currently scheduled transfers will be attempted/completed.
    • If your character could not be transferred as a result of unfulfilled requirements, the transfer will be cancelled and you’ll receive a Transfer Token in the new system.
    • After the server maintenance, you can then schedule a new transfer for this or another character.
