Heads up, Metin2 fans, here comes a huge update focused on guilds and guild territories! Guild progression and guild territories are getting a comprehensive overhaul alongside various convenience features in Update 26.0 – Enhanced Guild Territories.
The release on all servers is slated for 8th April 2026.
General Changes to Guilds
We’ve made various changes to make levelling up guilds more worthwhile, and also reduce the necessity for founding new guilds:
- Characters in guilds above level 20 can continue to donate experience points. A new ‘Delete EXP’ button has been added for this purpose.
- This does not increase a guild’s level (Small/Medium/Large Donations are still required to increase in level), but it provides a outlet for excess EXP.
- Deleting EXP costs a fee to the value of 10% of the EXP in Yang.
- If you leave a guild, you now have to wait 7 days before you can join or found a new one.
Increasing guild levels also unlocks new benefits:
- New bonuses for guild levels 25, 30, 35 and 40 (e.g. increased EXP donations and reduced taxes for guild territories).
- Additional guild skill points are awarded every 4 levels, starting from level 20 (e.g. at levels 24, 28, 32, 36 and 40).
- The three new guild skills introduced with the Balathor dungeon (Update 24.3) can be upgraded up to level 10 (previously level 7). All other guild skills keep their maximum level 7.
- The Medal of Bravery Shop can now be opened via a button in the guild menu (from guild level 21).
- You can now interact with the Guardians on the first village map on Dong Gwang Plain to automatically deposit certain amounts of Yang.

Guild Territory Changes
Alongside system changes, the guild territories have received a comprehensive update. (All currently existing guilds and guild territories of course remain unchanged.)
Simplified Guild Territory Acquisition/Maintenance
- The auctions for guild territories have been removed. Guild territories can now be purchased at a fixed price on a first come, first served basis.
- Taxes for guild territories can now be paid in blocks of 10 days for up to 30 days in advance.
- A button in the territory info window allows guild members to find their territory easier.
New Guild Leader Features
Guild leaders get additional management options:
- A usage fee can be set to use various facilities with the Guardians.
- Income from guild facilities are first used to pay guild territory fees, with any surplus flowing into the guild treasury.
- Guild leaders can determine which guild facilities are only available to guild members and which are publicly available.
- Guild leaders can view detailed records of deposits and withdrawals, as well as income from the use of facilities.
New Building Types
A number of new building types have been added, including:
- Special Armoursmith for gloves and belts
- Smelters for various materials
- New summoning shrines to summon monsters from the game world with their regular loot
- A new shrine to grant your character personal buffs
Building Upgrade System
Some buildings can now be upgraded:
- Upgrading requires Building Tickets from the Medal of Bravery Shop.
- Every guild member can use up to 3 Building Tickets each day to add EXP.
- Advantages include options, for example, such as an increased chance of success when upgrading with blacksmiths or smelters.

Guild Dungeons with Rankings
Two new instance and entry tickets have been added for guilds. These allow guilds to additionally enter the Meley’s Lair and Balathor’s Crypt instances via Dragon Watcher Dolnarr. Instances entered using the tickets are counted as separate entries by the system. This allows multiple parties from the same guild to face these opponents at the same time.
The instances have a weekly ranking table with associated rewards, including exclusive titles.

Bazaar Map Changes
The NPCs on the Bazaar map have been relocated to avoid overfilled areas.
- The NPCs will either be moved to the eastern side of the main square or the western side of the two outer courtyards.
- The NPCs are now standing in a form of arcade so that players cannot stand or set up Personal Premium Shops directly next to them.
- In addition to the Trade Administrator, you can now also leave the map via a Leave button below the minimap.

Crafting Improvements
You can now refine minerals in large quantities with the Alchemist.
- Selecting an entry will automatically select the corresponding materials.
- You can select any amount between 1 and 200 (assuming you have enough materials).
- Clicking on Continue starts the refinement and can be cancelled if desired.
The same system applies for the Gaya refinement with the Gaya Merchant or the Warrior Statue.
New Resource: Spirit Powder
The new refinement method requires Spirit Powder as a common material (instead of various spirit stones). You can acquire this by using a Magic Hammer on equipment or spirit stones (1 Hammer = 1 Powder).
- The Magic Hammer can be purchased in the Alchemist’s shop for 15,000 Yang.
- It can be applied to a stack of spirit stones in your inventory.
Tip: It makes sense to have a couple of Magic Hammers to spare on your adventures, then you can directly convert spirit stones into Spirit Powder and save inventory space.
Upgrade Improvement: Mysterious Talisman
Upgrade attempts now always only require a Mysterious Talisman+0, irrespective of whether a Mysterious Talisman+1 or a Mysterious Talisman+9 is being upgraded.
Further Improvements
New Interface Settings
A new interface setting has been added to the game options allowing you to permanently magnify the text on symbols (ON/OFF) or toggle it as required by holding CTRL.
Damage Numbers
The damage you inflict on monsters is now displayed in front of the monster, rather than ‘inside’ the monster. The way damage is displayed has also been adjusted:
- Hits with 0 damage are displayed as a 0
- Damage numbers are now combined with a symbol to show the hit type (blue for a piercing hit, yellow for a crit, and red for both piercing and crit).
Damage taken also displays more detail in future:
- If a monster’s attack is blocked or dodged, this is now displayed accordingly (not just a generic ‘Miss’).
- If you are hit but suffer 0 damage, this will now be displayed.
- If you defend a hit or skill, this is now displayed.
Merchant Improvements
Regular merchants now have more convenience features:
- Selling items no longer requires each item to be confirmed individually. Check the ‘Don’t ask again’ option on your first sale (per session) and sell the rest of your items directly.
- As a precaution, you can now also see the last 12 items you’ve sold, and buy them back in case you sell something by mistake. This remains the case as long as you don’t leave the map or change characters.
Changes to Lycans
Newly created Lycans will no longer start in the Colony in update 26.0. Instead they will start in the starting area of their chosen kingdom, just like every other class.
Existing Lycan characters who are still in the Colony will be automatically moved to the starting area with the update maintenance. All related quests will be updated accordingly.
