Dear Metin2 fans, an animalistic update is coming your way! The new Update 25.1 — Powerful Champion Pets will be available simultaneously on all servers from 1st July 2025. This update adds champion levels for your pets, new skills and all-round smoother gameplay—get ready!
New Maximum Level for Pets
Pets could previously only progress to level 105 while your characters could reach champion level 30. This is now changing!
- 4th stage of evolution: boosts a pet straight from level 105 to champion level 1. The pet can then continue progressing up to champion level 14.
- 5th stage of evolution: allows continued progress up to champion level 30.
Up to the 3rd stage of evolution (105), pets can only accumulate EXP on the old continents. The process continues as follows from the 4th and 5th stages of evolution:
- Pets can gather EXP exclusively on the Yohara continent.
- Pets can obtain bonuses for Sung Ma’s Will (RES), precision or block penetration.
- You can unlock access to the new ‘potential skills’ feature.
Please note that the corresponding evolution can only be unlocked when the character level exceeds the required thresholds (4th: c. lvl. 2+, 5th: c. lvl. 16+).
The pet’s existing stats (HP, defence, SP) won’t exceed their values at level 105 and will also remain the same after evolving. The new bonuses will increase alongside the pet’s level, however, starting at champion level 1.
Powerful Potential Skills
Slots for new potential skills are unlocked at the 4th and 5th stages of evolution—one at the 4th and another at the 5th stage.
These new slots let you add a pet egg to your evolved pet, and obtain one of the potential skills from the pet egg as a skill for your pet!
Please note the following restrictions:
- If your evolved pet already has the Berserker skill, it can also have this skill again as a potential skill.
- If your pet egg in slot 1 has given your active pet Berserker as a potential skill, you can’t also have this skill again in slot 2.
- The skill effects last as long as the registered pet egg, and then disappear along with it.
- All potential skills are boosted by default.
New Title System
Update 25.1 introduces the title system. You can start earning powerful titles for special achievements or for participating in unique events right away, showing everyone what you’re made of!
The titles will be displayed above your character name or guild name (if you’re in a guild), and can either be text-based or contain a suitable visual representation. You can access and manage your titles by clicking on your profile picture on your character’s info page.
Note Please be aware that when the update is released, some existing titles will be carried over to the new system and removed from existing characters (Combat Zone and Battle Royale top 3). New titles will then be awarded via the new system—via future competitions and achievements.
New Reporting System
To make it a little easier to report suspicious players, a new Report button is being introduced. You can access it via a button in a character’s target bar or in the whisper chat.
Clicking on it brings up the following reporting categories:
- Gold Selling: Use this if you notice excessive spam (gold selling, Yang) in a character’s chat.
- Botting & Cheating: Select this option if you see a character cheating or using bots in Metin2.
- Bot Shop: Use this for reporting bot shops in Metin2.
Please note You can only use this function if you’ve completed the biologist quest (level 30). You cannot enter any text and the report is sent directly to our system. A separate support ticket isn’t required as our team will see the report in our system straight away, with enough additional information about the reported player to respond quickly.
Note: Misusing this system—such as making repeated, unfounded reports against other players—will result in any reports you make in the future being disregarded or, in severe cases of misuse, sanctions against your account.
