Winter Servers Closing

Last November we launched our Winter Servers featuring the brand-new Battle Pass system. Many players seized this opportunity to enjoy tons of great benefits and scoop up loads of cool rewards.

In this post we’re going to run down everything you need to know when the Winter Servers go offline, if you want to transfer your character to a regular Metin2 server.

Winter Server Shutdown

The Winter Servers will be shut down at 10 AM CET, 3rd February 2023. This will also end the Battle Pass system. The servers being shut down are:

• Western Europe: Polaris
• Eastern Europe: Glacial
• Turkey: Ayaz

Here’s a quick overview of what follows:

Prepare Your Character Transfer

To make sure your character transfer runs smoothly, get everything ready by 2nd February 2023 and pay attention to the following points:

• The Battle Pass missions will end a few hours before the servers shut down. So if you still want to complete the weekly challenges, for example, make sure you do so beforehand.
• Ensure that any items you wish to transfer with your hero are in your inventory, and that you remove all items from your mailbox.
• Sales of Battle Pass XP and the Premium Battle Pass will end one hour before the servers close, which will make it no longer possible to unlock a second character transfer. If you intended to do this, make sure to purchase the upgrade in advance.

Which Character Do You Want to Transfer?

You can choose which character you want to transfer to another server between 6th February 2023 (10 AM CET) and 20th February 2023 (2 PM CET):

First, visit our website and select the character you wish to transfer, as well as which server they should be transferred to. (You can also select a second character, if you have unlocked this option.)

You’ll reach the character transfer page via the settings in the Gameforge launcher. Click on the settings symbol next to your account name to open the account overview on the Metin2 website.

Important: During the server maintenance on 22nd February 2023, we will transfer all the characters that players have selected to their chosen servers. There will be no other opportunity to transfer your characters, and any remaining characters will be deleted after the maintenance!

Character Transfer Details

You can choose any character to transfer which you created on the winter server with the Battle Pass, irrespective of their character level or other stats. There are however a few details to bear in mind:

Your Unlocked Transfer

Depending on what you achieved and unlocked on the winter server, you may be able to transfer more items with your character:

• Level 1: Allows you to transfer your character, Gaya, equipped gear and items in their belt inventory and in the item shop storeroom.

• Level 2: Allows you to also transfer equipped costume and alchemy items, plus the first page of your inventory.

Please note that items from the item shop storeroom will only be transferred with the first character.

Restrictions

There are certain restrictions to the character transfer to be aware of:

• You can only transfer to servers where you are currently allowed to play.
• If you are from Tigerghost, you can only transfer to this server.
• It isn’t possible to transfer to one of the 3 RUBY servers, even if you are already playing there.
• It is not possible to transfer to the servers Türkiye or Marmara.
