New: Temporary Servers with Battle Pass

    Winter in Metin2 will be hot and action-packed! Our new temporary servers and the brand new Battle Pass system, which will soon be available and will bring you lots of additional and high-quality rewards, are going to make sure of that.

    From 25th November 2022 until 3rd February 2023, all players can start on our winter servers and experience numerous events, pick up prizes and meet new Metin2 buddies.

    We’re opening a temporary server per cluster – that means one server each for Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Turkey. Tigerghost players will be able to play on the Western Europe cluster.

    When playing on these servers, you can unlock up to two character transfers and decide which character you want to transfer.

    Winter Servers and Battle Pass – Details and FAQ

    The mercury’s falling outside, but things will soon be hotting up in Metin2, with the impending launch of our Winter Servers – including a brand-new Battle Pass system! Today we’re giving you all the juicy details, including an FAQ. Pick up valuable rewards such as two character transfers, the tradeable Red Crescent Moon, plus tons of Tiger Coins and a Ritual Stone in the Premium Battle Pass! Plus take part in the rankings, as well as tons of great events on the server! Read on to learn more.

    Server Launch & Duration

    Get ready for when the server opens its gates at 10 AM CET on 25th November 2022! We’re opening a temporary server per cluster, so one server each for Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and Turkey.

    • Western Europe: Polaris
    • Eastern Europe: Glacial
    • Turkey: Ayaz

    The servers will remain open until 10 AM CET on 3rd February 2023. Registration for server transfers will start in the weeks thereafter (more details will be released after the servers have closed).

    The Battle Pass

    Complete unique and weekly tasks to earn Battle Pass XP. Once you’ve earned enough XP, you can collect the rewards you’ve unlocked. Players who purchase the Premium Battle Pass can unlock additional rewards for their accounts. The Premium Battle Pass is available in the shop (only on event servers), where you can also purchase Battle Pass XP.

    Battle Pass Rewards

    Unlock amazing rewards such as the mount Manny, two character transfers, the tradeable Red Crescent Moon, Tiger Coins, plus a Ritual Stone. You can find a complete list of rewards at the end of this post, as well as in the game itself.

    Active Events

    The following events will be active on the Battle Pass servers:

    • Item drops +50%
    • EXP Boost: Meet the NPC Uriel and receive between 100% and 200% more EXP for characters above level 40.
    • More frequent Superstones every Monday and Friday
    • The Weapons for Young Heroes quest will be activated
    • The Monster Bash Event every weekend (until mid-January)
    • Strength of the Tiger in the Battle Pass: +40% PvE damage for your account (applies to other servers on your account, not the Battle Pass server itself)
    • Harvest Festival: Collect Rice Cakes from monsters and then turn them into valuable Ebony Boxes or other great rewards!

    Note: Global events not listed above will of course also be active on the Battle Pass servers.

    The Tasks

    You can find an overview of available tasks on the second page of the website pop-up. There are unique and weekly tasks, with each completed task giving you a certain amount of Battle Pass XP. Unique tasks can only be completed once per account, so things like ‘Reach level 30’ only give you XP once during the event. Weekly tasks can be completed once per week, and are reset every Friday at midnight (CET). Check out the full list of tasks in the game on the Battle Pass server!

    Character Transfers

    You can unlock a free transfer for a character of your choice on the Battle Pass servers. If you’ve purchased the Premium Battle Pass, you can get a second transfer on top! The transfers are divided into two levels. With the first level (reward 33), you can transfer your character, Gaya and the equipment you’re wearing, plus the contents of your item shop storeroom and belt inventory. With the second level (reward 42), you can also transfer equipped costumes and alchemy items, plus the first page of your inventory. Please note that the item shop storeroom will be transferred with the first character. Note the following requirements for transferring characters:

    • You can only transfer to servers where you are currently allowed to play.
    • If you are from Tigerghost, you can only transfer to this server.
    • It isn’t possible to transfer to one of the 3 RUBY servers, even if you are already playing there.
    • It is not possible to transfer to Türkiye or Marmara.

    More detailed information, including the timetable for registering and transferring, will be released with the end of the Battle Pass servers at the beginning of February 2023.

    Level Rankings

    There will be a ranking list for the duration of the Battle Pass servers. The 10 characters with the highest rank in each kingdom will be rewarded at the end as follows:

    • 1st Place: Snow Leonidas (60 Days), Loot Pass (4x 15 Days), Amulet of the Guardians (60 Days), Royal Sash (noble)
    • 2nd–5th Place: Snow Leonidas (30 Days), Loot Pass (2x 15 Days), Amulet of the Guardians (30 Days), Sovereign Sash (noble)
    • 6th–10th Place: Snow Leonidas (15 Days), Loot Pass (1x 15 Days), Amulet of the Guardians (15 Days), Master Sash (noble) Rewards will be added to your item shop storeroom at the end and can be moved with the first character transfer. If several players achieve the same top rank, then ties will be determined by the following:
      1. Champion Level
      1. Champion EXP
      1. Character Level
      1. Character EXP
      1. Time level was reached (the sooner, the better)

    FAQ

    Can I play with multiple characters on the Battle Pass servers?

    • Your Battle Pass XP and rewards are server-specific, including whether the premium version has been unlocked.
    • You can contribute to the tasks with any character you like. For example, let’s say the task is to ‘Kill 15 bosses’. If you defeat 10 bosses with your first character, and 5 bosses with your second, this will complete the task for your account on this server.
    • You cannot however complete the task a second time; it is considered complete for all characters on this server.

    Weekly tasks are reset every Friday at midnight (CET). What does that mean?

    • You have 7 days for completing the weekly tasks. If you don’t complete the task in time, or only partially, your progress will be reset to 0.
    • Completed weekly tasks will also be reset, allowing you to complete them again and earn additional XP for your Battle Pass.
    • If you miss some weekly tasks, you cannot catch up again later. But don’t worry, you don’t need to complete them every week in order to unlock the second transfer level, as long as you finish most of the other tasks.

    Do I need to wait until midnight to learn what tasks I have and how much XP I have earned?

    • In contrast to earlier servers, task progress on these servers will be updated more frequently (roughly every 4 hours), meaning you can see what you’ve completed and what you’ve still to achieve several times a day.
    • Please note that the update times may vary depending on your location and the server you’re playing on.
    • Although the tasks are scheduled to update at specific times, it may take up to 30 minutes for all player data to be processed and displayed correctly.

    I want to purchase the Premium Battle Pass in the shop. Is there anything I need to be aware of?

    • The Premium Battle Pass can be purchased in the regular shop. It is only visible on Battle Pass servers and only unlocks the Premium Battle Pass for that particular server.
    • It can only be purchased once per server and is activated immediately on purchase (without any associated item).
    • You can unlock the Premium Battle Pass at a later juncture and still receive all the items you would have unlocked (since you earn XP whether or not you have the Premium Battle Pass).

    I want to purchase Battle Pass XP in the shop. What do I need to know?

    • Battle Pass XP can be earned by completing tasks in the game, but you can also choose to purchase a certain amount of XP in the shop.
    • XP purchased is automatically added to your current Battle Pass XP and will unlock items just the same if you reach any reward thresholds.
    • Please note that XP earned by completing tasks is only displayed after each rewards update, while XP purchased in the shop is added immediately.
    • You can purchase up to 8,000 Battle Pass XP via the shop, irrespective of how much you’ve earned by completing tasks. But any XP you purchase which exceeds your requirements will have no effect, and cannot be deducted or refunded, so please make sure to purchase only what you need.

    Collecting Items

    • Items must be collected from the Battle Pass manually (by clicking on them), once you’ve earned the XP to unlock them.
    • Items are immediately sent to the currently logged in character by GM message, so make sure you only collect them with the character who should get them!
    • Character transfers are activated in your account as soon as they become available. Unlike the other rewards, they don’t need to be collected.
    • Items which have not been collected by the end of the Battle Pass server will be forfeit, so please make sure to collect everything you’ve earned.

    Dear Players,

    Unfortunately, we ran into an issue with the Harvest Event and players not being able to receive quests to collect Rice Cakes for the weekly challenge anymore.

    In order to resolve the issue, the Harvest Event will be turned off every Friday at 00:00 CET and activated again at 0:30 CET.

    To make up for the potential loss of Battle Pass EXP during this week, we have added 175 Battle Pass EXP to all players were actively collecting EXP.
